Two popular Bengali actress Jaya Ahsan has received government grant for a movie titled ‘Raeed’. The film was to be produced by ‘Hawa’ famous filmmaker Mezbaur Rahman Sumon under Jaya’s production. The new news is that Jaya Ahsan has returned the donation of the movie.
In this regard, Jaya Ahsan said, ‘For whatever reason, the construction process is getting delayed. I repeatedly asked Suman, meanwhile, I felt it was rude not to make a movie with the grant money, so I returned the money.’
Explaining the reason for returning the donation, Mezbaur Rahman Sumon said, ‘I had a meeting with Jaya a few months ago. We decide to return the government subsidy through negotiation. Our work is getting delayed due to various reasons. But the grant has certain rules and regulations. We do not want them to be broken or criticized. As when the shooting of the movie will start, it is not finalized yet. Apart from that, the work of the movie is not possible with the grant money. So we didn’t want to keep the grant in these uncertainties.’
Suman said that ‘Raid’ will rise even if Jaya withdraws. He said that he will produce the movie from his own production company Facecard. The producer said that he will finish the shooting of the movie ‘Raeed’, although it may be a little late.
