But who is Jean Mind?
Jean Mind has emerged as a leading Venezuelan magician with exceptional talent who has conquered international stages as a “Latin David Blaine.” From an early age, at the age of 9, he sparked his interest in magic by watching fascinating performances on television and learning simple tricks alongside his friends. It was then that he discovered “The Magic House of Sabana Grande” by Magician Henry, where he began to expand his knowledge through videos and the acquisition of new magic accessories, in addition to taking his first magic courses with renowned magicians from the “Magia Manía” store.
During her career, Jean Mind had the opportunity to meet one of her greatest teachers, Leonard Rangel, also known as “@el.mentalista”, who has been a constant source of teaching and advice to this day. At the age of 17, he entered the prestigious Venezuelan Society of Illusionism (SVI), thus consolidating his active participation in the national magic community.
With the aim of further perfecting his art, at the age of 23, Jean Mind decided to travel to Uruguay, where for the next 4 years he had the opportunity to work and learn with Daniel K., considered one of the best magicians in Uruguay and America. During his stay in Uruguay, he participated in television programs and performed his own shows, leaving an indelible mark on the public and the local magic industry.
Restless to explore new horizons, Jean Mind decided to venture into Europe, visiting a total of 17 countries. However, it was in Spain where he considered staying for several years; nevertheless, the call of Bali resounded within him. Driven by his desire to see Asia, he decided to take a few months off in Bali during the European winter. The charm and energy of the island captivated his heart in such a way that he decided to settle there, becoming his base for the last 4-5 years.
With a career on the rise and an innate passion for magic, Jean Mind has left indelible marks on international stages. His skill and charisma have made him a true ambassador of Venezuelan talent in the world of magic, being recognized for his unique ability and his ability to captivate audiences of all ages.
Indonesia’s Got Talent
He was overwhelmed with emotion when he received the unexpected call from the production of “Indonesia’s Got Talent”. It seemed her name had spread like wildfire, after spending three years in Bali wowing people with her magic acts at private events and exclusive beach clubs.
The first audition for the producers was held in Bali, in an intimate setting with no cameras. However, always looking to go one step further, he decided to learn some Indonesian to incorporate into his routine. It was a decision that was worth it, since his presentation was a complete success. He was selected for the next phase: the official audition in front of the judges.
Fate flew him to Jakarta, and as soon as he set foot in the hotel, he was quickly escorted to the imposing building of the RCTI channel. It turns out that the theater was located on the top floor, an architectural marvel! He was impressed to see the level of production and understand that he was about to perform in front of more than 250 million Indonesians. It was the first time he would have such exposure on television.
His arrival a week in advance was the prelude to a hectic week of rehearsals, wardrobe coordination, music and all the necessary details to dazzle the public. He also had the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Jakarta a bit, immersing himself in its culture and being captivated by its unique energy.
Finally, the long-awaited day of his performance arrived. She steeled herself, putting her nerves aside, and took the stage. The judges weren’t used to seeing a charismatic Latino perform his magic in front of his eyes, so her presentation was quite an impact. Getting four resounding “yes” from the judges was gratifying, and they even mentioned that they didn’t award it with the gold button because they had used it previously. But it didn’t matter, she had moved on to the next round.
Just being selected from more than 150 magicians to participate in “Indonesia’s Got Talent” and getting the chance to shine for the first time on Asian TV is an indescribable achievement.
