Joint communiqué adopted following talks between HM King Mohammed VI and HH Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the State of the United Arab Emirates

Royal activity / Politics-Abu Dhabi, 04/12/2023 – The Kingdom of Morocco and the State of the United Arab Emirates adopted, Monday in Abu Dhabi, a joint communiqué following the talks between HM King Mohammed VI and HH Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the State of the United Arab Emirates, on the occasion of the working and fraternity visit carried out by the Sovereign in this sister country.

“As part of the working and fraternity visit carried out by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Sovereign of the Kingdom of Brother Morocco, to the State of Brother United Arab Emirates, following the kind invitation of His Brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al-Nahyan, Head of State, the two leaders held fruitful bilateral talks aimed at consolidating and lifting bilateral cooperation towards broader horizons.
From the outset, His Majesty the King, may God glorify Him, congratulated His brother Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, President of the State of the United Arab Emirates, may God preserve him, for His benevolent and successful patronage of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), in Dubai. The Sovereign also reiterated His warm congratulations to His Highness, on the occasion of the celebration of the 52nd anniversary of the Union Day of the State of the United Arab Emirates, welcoming the development, progress and prosperity that knows the country under the wise leadership of His Highness, as well as the distinguished presence of the United Arab Emirates on the international stage.
During this meeting, the leaders of the two countries rejoiced at the depth of the ties of authentic fraternity and sincere affection, the relations of mutual esteem and constant understanding which unite them, expressing their full satisfaction with the solidity of the ties of fruitful cooperation and active solidarity between the two brotherly countries.
His Majesty the King and the Emirati President further reiterated their firm desire to strengthen, continue and further develop these exceptional relations, and to elevate them to the rank of an innovative, renewed and multidimensional partnership covering all areas; a partnership that is ambitious in its objectives, innovative in its methods of consolidation and advanced in its implementation mechanisms, based on common interests and in the service of the two brother peoples.
On this occasion, His Majesty the King, may God glorify him, highlighted the achievements experienced by the Kingdom, particularly in the field of infrastructure and the structural reforms carried out in various sectors, as well as the accompanying legislative and regulatory measures, intended to encourage initiative and investment. The Sovereign also highlighted the Royal Vision in terms of promoting economic and social development in the country, based on productive investment capable of benefiting both parties.
His Majesty the King emphasized the great ambition that drives Morocco to persevere on the path of economic and social progress, thanks to the launch of a large number of projects and investments aimed at greater achievements. in social and development matters, particularly with a view to organizing the final phases of the 2030 World Cup. In this dynamic, it ensures that brotherly countries and its partners are able to contribute to said achievements and access opportunities multiple and promising investment opportunities that the Kingdom offers.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Ben Zayed Al-Nahyan, may God preserve him, welcomed the success of the investment projects initiated by the State of the United Arab Emirates in Morocco, particularly welcoming the opportunities and potential that offers the Moroccan economy in the field of investment, as well as the multiple and diversified assets with which it abounds, linked to a stimulating business climate, and to an environment of security and stability which distinguishes Morocco and makes it a attractive destination for investment.
In this context, capitalizing on successful experiences and relying on the common desire to continue the consolidation of fruitful cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of the United Arab Emirates, the leaders of the two countries agreed to work towards combine efforts to succeed in this innovative and renewed partnership, to explore opportunities with a view to contributing to economic and human projects, to supporting human development programs for the good of the two peoples and the two brotherly countries, with a view to raising bilateral relations at the highest level and open broader perspectives in different areas of cooperation and partnership in the medium and long term.
In this regard, the leaders of the two countries gave their guidelines with a view to putting in place joint action plans relating to the implementation of the signed memorandums of understanding. The two Heads of State reiterated the desire of the two brotherly countries to establish pioneering common partnerships in regional and international markets.
