The Spanish golfer Jon Rahm showed this Saturday another weak version of himself at the PGA Championshipthe second ‘major’ of the season, by signing a +2 during the third day in the holes of the Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York (United States), where the American Brooks Koepka leads with 12 shots.

During a rainy day, Rahm signed a 72-stroke card and he remained very far from the rest of the favorites for the final victory. Thanks to three ‘birdies’ in the final stretch of his contest, on holes number 13, number 14 and number 17, the Barrika player recovered until he ended up occupying position 42 along with nine other participants.

Rahm now accumulates a +6 after three days on the grass of Oak Hill, while Koepka looks -6 after having climbed five positions this Saturday to face the provisional lead alone. Seconds are the Norwegian Viktor Hovland and the Canadian Corey Conners, with individual cards of -5 in the global calculation.

On the fourth and final day, Rahm will need almost a miracle to reach the top. He would have to improve even on his showing from last month to win the Augusta Masters. If that doesn’t happen, the spotlight may turn to American Michael Block, a non-professional teacher who is eighth, six shots behind the leader.
