“Joris feels neither hot, nor cold, nor pain”: the aftermath of a child martyred at the trial of his executioners

by time news

It is about him that we have been talking since Monday January 9 at the North Assize Court. Or rather of his ordeal, and what could have led to such an outburst of violence, qualified as “torture or acts of barbarism” by justice. For these acts of incredible cruelty, four people appear detained, including Sébastien B. and Coraline R., a couple to whom Joris (name has been changed), two and a half years old, had been entrusted by his mother in December 2018. The latter is herself prosecuted for not having acted. Just like the sister of Coraline R., witness of certain scenes.
