jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Crazy Rich from Surabaya Budi Said’s pretrial lawsuit was not accepted by the panel of judges at the South Jakarta District Court (PN Jaksel), Monday (19/3/2024). Budi Said’s attorney regretted the judge’s decision.

It is known that Budi filed a pre-trial lawsuit to determine himself as a suspect by the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) in a case of alleged conspiracy with a number of people, including employees of PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk, so that Antam had a gold ‘debt’ valued at more than IDR 1 trillion.

“Essentially, the pretrial decision cannot be accepted because the judge thinks that the formal requirements of the pretrial applicant’s application are not fulfilled or are formally flawed,” said Indra Haposan Sihombing as Budi’s attorney, Tuesday (19/3/2024).

However, the judge’s decision does not justify the prosecution’s determination of Budi Said as suspect.

Because the judge only assessed the formal requirements that his party submitted when filing the lawsuit, which were deemed not to be in accordance with the provisions.

“However, we emphasize that this pretrial decision has no correlation with whether the investigation carried out by investigators on our client is in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code or not because this pretrial decision has not yet examined this matter,” he said.

In response to the decision, his party will still study the copy of the decision first. After that, the next steps will be determined.

“We will study the decision first. In the future, we will consider what steps we should take,” stressed Indra.
