“We need someone like Prabowo for the future of this country, both for strategic and economic reasons,” said Jusuf Wanandi as quoted on Tuesday (19/3).
The man who was born in Sawahlunto on November 15 1937 had strategic reasons for choosing Prabowo.
“We live in times full of uncertainty, so we need the right strategy. Indonesia needs to be more active and forward-looking,” said Jusuf, who is a member of the CSIS board of trustees.
Another reason is considering the potential of Indonesia’s economy, which is now the 16th largest in the world.
Therefore, we need a president who has a broad view of the global situation and is able to lead among countries with other great powers.
“As a country with the 16th largest economy in the world, Indonesia must be present and lead together with other large countries. Among the three presidential candidates, only Prabowo is ready to do this because he has an educational background as well as a background and world view,” continued Jusuf. add.
Apart from that, in Jusuf’s eyes, Prabowo for three generations has also played a role in developing Indonesia.
