Inaugural Festival Dates and Venue Locations

Global country music stars Kane Brown and Kacey Musgraves will headline the inaugural LongHaul Festival, a new three-day event touring Australia in January 2027. Presented by TEG Live and LongHaul Touring, the festival will visit Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, marking the only Australian concert appearances for both headlining artists.

Inaugural Festival Dates and Venue Locations

The LongHaul Festival is set to launch in January 2027, bringing a mix of international and domestic talent to three major Australian cities over a single weekend. The event then moves to the Sydney Showground on Saturday, Jan. 23, before concluding at the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds on Sunday, Jan. 24.

Organizers have confirmed that the international artists on the bill will perform exclusively at LongHaul Festival during this visit, making the tour the only opportunity for Australian fans to see these specific acts live.

Headliner Credentials and Genre Diversity

The festival’s headliners arrive with significant industry milestones. Kane Brown, who Australianmusician notes has earned 13 No. 1 singles on U.S. country radio, made history in 2017 as the first artist to simultaneously lead all five of Billboard’s main country charts. His career includes five American Music Awards and a headline performance at Boston’s Fenway Park.

Kacey Musgraves joins the lineup as an eight-time Grammy Award winner. Her 2024 album, Deeper Well, and her most recent record, Middle of Nowhere, have seen critical and commercial success; Countrytown highlighted that Middle of Nowhere debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, delivering the largest first-week sales of her career.

The supporting lineup reflects a broader interpretation of the genre. Beyond the headliners, the festival features Americana artist Margo Price, Charles Wesley Godwin, and rising performer Maddox Batson, alongside international acts Ava Hall and James Barker Band. The bill also includes Australian artists Beau Shearer, Denvah, Nathan Lamont, Taylor Moss, and Tyla Rodrigues.

Touring Strategy and Expansion Plans

The festival is powered by TEG Live and managed by LongHaul Touring, which describes itself as the future of country music touring according to Happymag. Tim McGregor, the Global Head of Touring at TEG Live, indicated that the project has been in development for several years.
