Chennai : Lokesh Kanakaraj’s second part of ‘Prisoner’ starring Karthi in 2019 will start shooting after Vijay movie. SR Prabhu, one of the producers of the first part of the film, has informed about this. Kaithi 2 will start shooting after the completion of Vijay movie Thalapathy 67.
The producer said that the second part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe’s first film, Kaithi, is being prepared on a tenfold budget. Karthi played the role of a former convict in a Delhi jail. Vikram, LCU’s second film, ends with a hint of prisoner 2 and many more.

After Masters, Thalapathy 67 is a Vijay-Lokesh Kanakaraj film. Though no official announcement has been made, it has been confirmed that Thalapathy’s next film will be with Lokesh Kanakaraj. Apart from Masters, Lokesh’s first film Managara is also not a part of LCU.
Meanwhile, when it comes to Vikram’s global collection, Tamil films have reached the third position in the 2022 gross collection. Ajith’s Valimai and Kannada film KGF Chapter 2 are the other two highest grossing films in Tamil Nadu.
