Bollywood movie ‘Crew’ directed by Rajesh A Krishnan. Popular Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon acted in this movie.
It was released in India on March 29. Apart from that, the movie is showing in some other countries of the world. After its release, it received great response at the box office. However, on the fourth day, the film’s earnings dropped significantly.
According to Hindustan Times, ‘Crew’ earned less than Rs 5 crore on its fourth day of release at the Indian domestic box office on Monday (April 1).
According to Sacknilk, ‘Crew’ collected Rs 4.50 crore on the fourth day. The movie earned Rs 9.25 crore on the first day of release and Rs 9.75 crore on the second day. On the third day i.e. Sunday, the movie reached the double digit box office earning Tk 10.5 crore. ‘Crew’ has so far collected Rs 34 crore at the Indian box office on its fourth day collection.
While there is currently no Hindi film at the Bollywood box office to rival ‘Crew’, the film is facing stiff competition from a Hollywood franchise. ‘Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire’ made a great opening at the Indian box office and earned Rs 37 crore in three days of release.
A number of Bollywood stars including Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor praised ‘Crew’ on their Instagram stories. The movie features Kareena, Tabu and Kriti as air hostesses. It also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma. The movie is produced under the banner of Balaji Telefilms and Anil Kapoor Film and Communications Network.
The success of women-centric films in Bollywood is few and far between. However, two female producers, Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, fought for big bets with Kareena, Tabu and Kriti in front. And the income shows that it is successful.
‘Crew’ is also being seen in theaters in Bangladesh from today Monday. Star Cineplex has imported Hindi movies for the first time through SAFTA agreement.
