Actor Keegan Allen was left bloodied after two masked thieves attacked him with a gun and a knife outside a West Hollywood grocery store on October 8, 2026, stealing his watch before fleeing the scene.
The violent encounter unfolded at approximately 9:05 p.m. in the parking lot behind Laurel Supply, a high-end grocery store on Santa Monica Boulevard. Allen, best known for his role as Toby Cavanaugh on Pretty Little Liars

Keegan Allen Criticizes Officials After Armed Robbery
Minutes after the attack, a dazed and bleeding Allen recorded a video from the scene, sharing his shock with his followers. In the aftermath, he posted photos of his injuries, including a gash above his left eyebrow that required four stitches, and a blood-stained cross necklace.
“West Hollywood is not safe anymore. Robbed at gunpoint and knifepoint by two young men that threatened to KILL me over my watch and would have! God said no tonight. My life for a watch.”

In his social media posts, Allen directly criticized Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom, questioning the effectiveness of surveillance technology in deterring violent crime. He wrote, Let’s hope all these flock cameras that @karenbassla @gavinnewsom and everyone thinks will stop crime can find these very dangerous criminals.
Mayor Bass’s office responded to the incident through The California Post, calling the armed robbery egregious
and emphasizing that no one should experience such an attack. Although the Los Angeles Police Department does not hold jurisdiction in the independent city of West Hollywood, city officials stressed that public safety remains their highest priority. The city of West Hollywood released a statement insisting it is a compassionate and engaged community where public safety remains the top priority and community concerns are taken seriously.

Law Enforcement Increases Patrols After Assault
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel medically evaluated Allen at the scene. While he sustained a laceration to his forehead and was not initially transported to a hospital by first responders, he later checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he received treatment from the staff and was later discharged to recover at home, updating fans that he was on the mend and healing.
In response to the assault, law enforcement authorities announced heightened security measures across the area. Capt. Calvin Mah stated they are increasing the patrol to make the community safe.
Beyond his television work on Pretty Little Liars
, Allen later starred as Liam Walker on the drama Walker
from 2021 to 2024 and made an appearance on The Rookie
in 2026.
