Thiruvananthapuram – The government has given permission to discuss the emergency resolution brought by the opposition demanding that the serious financial crisis faced by the state be discussed due to failure and waste in financial management. Discussion will start at 1 pm. Two hours are allotted for discussion.

The Chief Minister said that he thanked the opposition for bringing the resolution. “The opposition demands that the House should stop discussing the financial crisis. Although they tried to blame the government through the resolution, the opposition also had to tell the real truth through the notice. In the notice, the opposition says that the neglect shown to the state by the central government as part of the 15th Finance Commission is one of the reasons for the financial crisis. If the opposition is convinced that it is one of the reasons for the financial crisis, we can take a position to convince other reasons as well. UDF has 18 members in the Lok Sabha. It should be remembered that such an emergency resolution was not prepared to be brought there. “The financial crisis can be discussed in detail so that the opposition can understand other things,” said the Chief Minister.

Due to the financial crisis, all the activities of the government, which imposed treasury restrictions, have been thrown out of order, according to the explanatory note of the urgent motion notice. According to the notice, the main reasons for the economic crisis are mismanagement in tax administration, ineffective collection of IGST, failure of the government to collect taxes from gold and bars, corruption and extravagance.
