Investigators stated that Bryant was reportedly creating a disturbance in the locker room when a Planet Fitness employee asked her to speak more quietly. This request allegedly escalated the situation, with Bryant beginning to yell at the employee. The employee attempted to de-escalate by creating physical space, but video footage shows Bryant leaping over the front desk and repeatedly punching the employee, who covered his face and did not retaliate.
“She took things too far, brutally battered our client, and ultimately, left him in the hospital with a broken nose and severe emotional distress,” explained Alecsander Kohn, the Planet Fitness employee’s attorney, according to CBS News.
Planet Fitness Responds to Incident
Following the circulation of the video on social media, Planet Fitness released a statement. The fitness center emphasized that the safety of its employees and members is its highest priority. A spokesperson also confirmed that Bryant’s membership has been canceled.
“The safety of our employees and members is our top priority and we have zero tolerance for violence of any kind in our clubs. We are committed to providing a safe environment. The franchise group worked closely with local police and have cancelled the member in question.”

NBC Miami reported that authorities have accused Bryant of misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct in an establishment, and released her mugshot. Her bond was set at $150. As of now, details regarding legal representation or future court proceedings are unavailable.
