‘Yeongnam 4th term’ Kim previews first party leadership challenge
Persuasion by condensing the hypertrophied disguise, ignoring them

Kim, who is from the Sancheong-Hamyang-Geochang-Hapcheon constituency in Gyeongsangnam-do, ran for office in Yangsan-eul, Gyeongsangnam-do, located in the Nakdong River belt at the request of the party, and was elected, defeating incumbent Rep. Kim Doo-gwan of the Democratic Party of Korea.
Inside and outside the party, among the leading figures in the metropolitan area, President-elect Na Kyung-won (Seoul Dongjak-eul), Ahn Cheol-soo (Seongnam-Gyeonggi-do Bundang-eul), and Yoon Sang-hyeon (Incheon-dong-Michuhol-eul) are mentioned as candidates for party leadership. The names of ‘original pro-Yoon’ lawmaker Kwon Seong-dong (Gangneung, Gangwon-do) and elected representative Kim Jae-seop (Dobong-gap, Seoul), a young man in his 30s, are also mentioned. Former Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon’s appearance is also being discussed. A party official said, “As Representative Kim raised his hand first, other candidates will also weigh when to step forward in earnest.”
There is a situation where senior lawmakers are having a hard time over the position of chairman of the emergency committee. The fact that the authority that can be actually exercised is limited due to the short term of office of about two months is considered to be the reason for the resignation. A key ruling party official said, “Floor Leader Yoon Jae-ok tried to persuade the party by condensing the candidates for emergency chairperson, including Rep. Kwon Young-se, to one or two people, but he is failing.” However, Rep. Kwon told this newspaper, “There was no request (for emergency chairperson).” The party leadership is also contacting senior lawmakers who were defeated. The ruling party plans to nominate an emergency chairperson at the third general meeting of elected officials on the 29th at the latest and seek consent from the elected members.
