ASPACH. Wildenauer Kletzl Fleischwaren GmbH is insolvent. A restructuring process was initiated. Around 36 employees and 118 creditors are affected. The liabilities amount to around 5.6 million euros.

Kletzl Fleischwaren gained notoriety on the market with the “Kletzerl”, a raw sausage snack. However, in the wake of the Corona crisis, sales of the company, which was founded in 1992, fell sharply. The trend for vegetarian and vegan foods has also led to lower sales, the company said. In addition, the failure of a major German customer as well as higher energy and personnel costs due to inflation have increased the devaluation of assets.

Therefore, an application had to be made to the Ried regional court to open restructuring proceedings without self-administration. The continued operation is secured for a limited time. The decision as to whether the company will continue in the long term must first be made. Until then, production will cover costs. There are already discussions with investors.

Creditors are offered a 20 percent restructuring plan. This is payable within two years of acceptance of the restructuring plan.
