A four-member gang, including a law student, has been arrested for breaking into a hostel in Kochi and committing a robbery while posing as a police squad. The gang, consisting of Sejin Payas, Kais Majeed, Jayson Francis, and Manu Madhu, stole 5 mobile phones, gold necklaces, and rings in the attack that took place at midnight on the 15th of last month.
The accused entered the hostel after one of them gained access through a distant friend of the hostel’s residents. They were intercepted and arrested by police in Iringalakuda town of Thrissur after attempting to flee to Ooty and Wayanad. The woman who was with the accused during the robbery has also been put under surveillance.
