Thiruvananthapuram> Kovid-19 confirmed for 3581 persons in the state today Ernakulam 637, Thiruvananthapuram 523, Kollam 364, Kottayam 313, Kozhikode 273, Thrissur 228, Alappuzha 206, Pathanamthitta 186, Malappuram 176, Palakkad 171, Idukki 169, Kannur 158, Wayanad 129, Kasaragod. The disease was confirmed in 48 districts today.
During the last 24 hours, 44,054 samples were tested. Currently, 1,18,975 people are being monitored in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,16,378 are under home / institutional quarantine and 2,597 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 353 people were newly admitted to the hospital.
Currently, out of 37,239 Kovid cases, only 7% of individuals have been admitted to hospitals / field hospitals. In the last 24 hours, 6 deaths have been confirmed to be due to Kovid-19. In addition, 43 deaths were reported in the previous days due to late receipt of documents and 128 deaths due to appeal by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 64,980.
Today, 12 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 3415 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 119 is not clear. Thirty-five health workers were affected.
Of the 7837 people who were diagnosed and treated, the disease was cured. Thiruvananthapuram 978, Kollam 425, Pathanamthitta 413, Alappuzha 503, Kottayam 820, Idukki 574, Ernakulam 1253, Thrissur 672, Palakkad 325, Malappuram 415, Kozhikode 721, Wayanad 321, Kannur 282 and Kasaragod 135 were cured. With this, 37,239 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 63,88,398 have so far been freed from Kovid.
