Taliparamba (Kannur): A video of a child riding a bicycle on a state highway escaping with a head injury has gone viral on social media. After the bicycle collided with the bike, the boy was thrown into the opposite side of the road without being in front of the oncoming KSRTC bus. The unbelievable accident took place at 4.30 pm on the 20th at the lower Chorukkala in Kurumathoor panchayath.
The boy was riding his bicycle on the Taliparamba Iritti State Highway from the road near the Chorukkala petrol pump below when he collided with a bike coming from the State Highway and fell on the road with his bicycle. The boy, who was running after the bike, fell in front of the KSRTC bus and rolled several times and fell on the other side of the road. The KSRTC bus got on top of the bicycle. The footage was captured on a CCTV camera in a nearby house.
The car that came next saw the accident and stopped. Then the bus stopped. The boy replied that he was not harmed, though passengers and nearby locals fled. He lost control of the descent when he arrived with a friend on a bicycle his father had bought for him to pass the LSS exam. The child with minor injuries to the finger was given first aid.
