Endless hours of disappearance. Two 7-year-old brothers disappeared in Switzerland on Friday, kidnapped by several men who came to the home of their 54-year-old grandmother. The kidnappers had gagged the latter before disappearing.

It was far from their home that the two children were fortunately found, on the night of Friday to Saturday around 1 a.m. It was at a toll, in the Landes on the A 63 motorway, that the children were discovered in a vehicle, accompanied by three men. This vehicle was wanted by the Swiss authorities, and a very detailed note had been issued to the French authorities so that the police could easily identify it.

The car was probably heading for Spain. According to the first elements noted in the press, the kidnapping could have been organized by the father of the two boys. “This kidnapping took place in a conflicting family context between the parents, domiciled in Switzerland and Spain”, indicates the Swiss prosecutor’s office in a press release.

The two little boys were found in good health and were able to be cared for by child welfare. The three men who accompanied them were placed in police custody in France, while a criminal investigation was opened in Switzerland. In their press release, the Swiss authorities praised “the responsiveness and the work provided in France by the criminal prosecution authorities as well as the national police and the national gendarmerie. »
