Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has issued an order to withdraw fifteen members of Kerala University Senate. The senate membership of those who abstained from the senate meeting will be cancelled. The Senate met on Tuesday to recommend a member to the VC appointment search committee. Left-leaning members abstained from this. With this, the Senate would not have enough quorum and the meeting would have been dissolved. With the withdrawal of 15 people, including four department heads, the tensions between the government and the governors turned into open war.
