Lashenko re-elected as LFF president /

The current head Lashenko and the head of the Latvian Football Premier League Maksims Krivunecs applied for the post of LFF president.

Lashenko received 72 votes, and Krivunets – 21.

Sergejs Kovalyov with 79 votes and Olaf Pulks with 63 votes were elected to the two positions of LFF vice president. The third candidate, Edgars Dupats, received 30 votes.

Lashenko is the fifth president of the LFF in the organization’s history. From 1990 to 1995, the president of the organization was Vladimir Leskovs, from 1995 to 1996, the organization was led by Modris Supe, since 1996, Guntis Indriksons has been the president of the LFF, resigning in 2018, when the members of the LFF elected Kaspars Gorks to this position.
