Governor Arif Muhammad Khan to Visit Idukki Tomorrow During LDF Hartal

Tomorrow, Governor Arif Muhammad Khan will be visiting Idukki to participate in the program of the Traders and Industry Coordinating Committee. However, the Idukki District LDF has announced a hartal and a Raj Bhavan march in protest against the Governor’s refusal to sign the Land Tenure Act Amendment Bill.

The CPM has alleged that the Governor’s actions are a challenge to the people of Idukki, and have called for a fierce protest against his visit. The Kerala Vyapari Vyavasai Ekopama Samiti has stated that it will not back down from the scheduled program, despite the hartal.

The UDF, on the other hand, has rejected the hartal call and stated that it will protect the Governor’s program if needed. The Left Democratic Front has announced that the hartal will be peaceful and has not planned any further protests against the Governor for tomorrow.

In response to the ongoing conflict between the state government and the Governor, the police have decided to increase security in the district tomorrow in light of the scheduled hartal.

In related news, the state government has approached the Supreme Court against the Governor’s actions of prolonging bills passed by the assembly. The recent cabinet reshuffle also signified the strained relationship between the government and the Governor, as both parties avoided interaction at the event.

It is clear that tensions between the state government and the Governor are escalating, and tomorrow’s events in Idukki will likely be a reflection of this ongoing conflict.
