Qualifications and Experience
The minimum qualifications for the role include a Bachelor’s Degree and at least four years of software engineering experience – internship experience dose not count towards this requirement. Candidates must also demonstrate at least one year of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree, seven or more years of experience in one of the listed programming languages, three or more years of experience with a major cloud service provider, four or more years of experience with open source frameworks, one or more years of people management experience, and two or more years of experience in Agile practices.
Compensation and Location Details
Capital one has publicly disclosed salary ranges for the Lead Software Engineer position,varying by location. In McLean, VA, the salary range is $193,400 – $220,700 annually. In New York, NY, the range is $211,000 – $240,800 annually.Compensation for positions in other locations will be determined based on the local pay scale. The role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including potential cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
