He continued, “Prosecutor A, as the prosecutor in charge, had an obligation to monitor the personal affairs of former Chairman Kim and others, but instead permitted or condoned the importation of alcohol. This was a serious crime that disrupted the national judicial system by providing unimaginable preferential treatment to inmates.” “He emphasized.
Former Deputy Governor Lee, who is being tried on suspicion of Ssangbangwool Group’s remittance to North Korea, claimed in the trial on the 4th that he fabricated the statement about Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, through the prosecution’s cajoling and pressure, and said, “In front of Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office Room 1313, it is written ‘warehouse’. “I remember having Ssangbangwool employees bring us salmon and raw fish rice bowls in the room we were in, and we even had drinks once,” he said.
However, when the prosecution refuted that the ‘warehouse’ was only a waiting area for the suspect and there was no meal or drinking at all, former Deputy Governor Lee revised his original claim to say that the place where he drank alcohol was not a warehouse but a video recording room (statement recording room). Since then, former Deputy Governor Lee’s side has raised new suspicions such as ‘mobilization of lawyers from high-ranking positions in the prosecution’ and ‘hidden cameras in the statement recording room’, and the battle over the truth continues as the prosecution immediately refuted the allegations as “absurd and false claims.”
