Legendary jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal dies at 92

American jazz pianist and composer Ahmad Jamal has passed away this Sunday at his home in Ashley Falls, in the state of Massachusetts, at the age of 92 due to prostate cancer.

Over the course of eight decades of his professional career, Jamal, who began his formal piano studies at the age of 7, has won several awards including highlights the Grammy for his trajectory.

He has also composed music for soundtracks of various films and He has founded several record labels. He released up to three albums a year in the late 1960s and early 1970s, recording over 60 in her career.
