In four days, close to 13,000 copies in the hands of the people of Artemisa among some 1,800 titles, and the approximate 8,000 people who walked each day among the letters and collateral activities, are welcome from the eleventh International Book Fair, that this Sunday closed its doors in the, today, Rubén Martínez Villena Presentations Room, and always, Ciro Redondo García Provincial Library.
Mireysi García Rojas, one of the writers to whom this literary festival was dedicated, said that she will remember these moments for the rest of her life, since they have touched her heart in an endearing way, as a poet, writer, from Artemisa, and above all, as Cuban culture art instructor.
Meanwhile, the researcher Reveca Figueredo Valdés, from Guanajay, spoke of the intensity of these days, classified as the happiest ever, since she has received tributes that make her think about the usefulness of what is written, for her province and the municipality where she lives.
This is how the virtuous women give way to reading, because that is the essence of an event of this nature, because if it was economically good to enter as preliminary data, about 240 thousand pesos, also profitable, but spiritually it will be to turn one page and another to add knowledge to our daily life.
And Ricardo Concepción Rodríguez, the Governor, persuaded this issue at the conclusion of the contest, “because if from the neighborhood we achieve greater roots for our writers, greater rapprochement with the entities of Culture and approximation to the architects of this, we will cultivate throughout the year reading treat. From ignorance as vulnerability if we can get out quickly, to give way to the virtue of art, which will make us better”, he expressed.
After the Fair?, explained Ivón Álvarez González, provincial director of Culture and candidate for Deputy for Bauta, the development of a program of presentations, rather with digital books, which will travel through the 11 municipalities.
“We started at the IPVCE Mártires de Humboldt 7, in San Antonio de los Baños, while the local publisher, Unicornio, will go around with its digital books to send them to any support that encourages the habit, also from the Cuba Literaria Portal.”
