Libya signs a memorandum of understanding to enhance cultural cooperation with Türkiye

The Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development of the National Unity Government, Mabrouka Tugi, signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of culture and arts with the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

The media office of the Ministry of Culture said in a statement: “Under the memorandum, which was signed with initials, the two sides agreed, in accordance with the regulations and laws in force in Libya and Turkey, to enhance cultural exchange in the field of culture through several paths.”

According to the statement, “The most prominent of these paths are the exchange of visits between experts, writers, and creative people, the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and skills, the publication of books, and capacity building to improve the qualifications of workers in the field of culture and arts in both countries, through various programs, including training and workshops, and participation in Book fairs, seminars, conferences, literary festivals, cultural and intellectual weeks in all fields of culture and creativity.”

It is noteworthy that the memorandum was signed at the Ataturk Cultural Center, in the presence of the Acting Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries, Nasr al-Din al-Fazzani, the Libyan Ambassador to Turkey, Mustafa al-Qalib, the Libyan Consul General in Istanbul, Salah al-Din al-Kasih, and the Undersecretary of the Libyan Ministry of Tourism, Hanan al-Hassi.
