Berlin – It is a small but persistent procession of around 40 participants that pulls through the streets of Kreuzberg on Friday afternoon for better working conditions for the delivery services. The association called Aktion Arbeitsunrecht – in eight cities across Germany under the motto “For labor rights and democracy at Lieferando & Gorillas”.
In addition to Wolt and Lieferando employees, supporters also took part in the couriers’ protest. Matthew Lomas from Neukölln, for example, who had put a sign on the back of the child seat on his luggage rack: a skeleton with the typical courier hat is kicking on a bicycle, the tires are burning. Above it reads: Day of Action, August 13, 2021. Lomas used to be a courier himself, today he thinks it is important to support others in the fight for participation.
