jpnn.com – AUSTIN – Free practice or free practice 1 will open the 2024 American MotoGP series, at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Austin, USA, Friday (12/4) evening WIB.
FP1 is a 45 minute session which will be useful for racers and their teams to test the strength and speed of motorbikes.
The time recorded in FP1 officially does not count towards qualifying classification.
The determination of whether a racer will enter qualification 1 (Q1) or qualification 2 (Q2, main qualification) is decided in practice, which is held between FP1 and FP2.
