Dutchwoman Lorena Wiebes won the 3rd stage of the Tour de France Women on Tuesday July 25 in Montignac-Lascaux in the Dordogne where her Belgian teammate at SD Worx Lotte Kopecky kept her yellow jersey. Already victorious twice last year on the Grande Boucle, Wiebes won in the sprint ahead of her compatriot Marianne Vos and Kopecky to sign her tenth success this season. After Kopecky’s victory on Sunday in Clermont-Ferrand, this is a second success for SD Worx, whose leader Demi Vollering shares the status of favorite of the event with her compatriot Annemiek van Vleuten, defending champion. The two women crossed the line at the same time within the peloton. On Wednesday, the riders will tackle the longest stage of this edition: 177 kilometers between Cahors and Rodez. One of the most difficult with five listed difficulties and the last 40 kilometers without almost a meter of flat.
