The australian public has spoken: Yana and Kye are the winners of Love Island Australia 2025, taking home a grand prize of $30,000. Host Sophie Monk announced the winning couple during Monday’s finale,capping off a season filled with drama,romance,and a shocking twist.
The season finale wasn’t without its surprises. A history-making decision during the final week saw former Islander Dylan leave with $20,000, effectively reducing the original prize pool from $50,000.Dylan’s decision to forgo a potential share with his former partner, kodi, in favor of option plans, added another layer of complexity to the already charged atmosphere.
“Jaide and Jotham, Yana and Kye, and Sharn and Ross – three amazing couples, but only one can win,” Monk teased before revealing the results. The tension was palpable as she announced, “The winners of Love Island Australia 2025 are… Yana and Kye!”
The winning couple, Yana, 21, and Kye, 22, shared a celebratory kiss as their fellow Islanders rushed to congratulate them. “You just won Love Island!” Monk exclaimed, to which Kye responded, “I’m shocked.” yana echoed the sentiment, grinning and stating, “That’s crazy.” Monk playfully pressed them, asking what they would have said if told a year ago they’d be winning the show together, prompting a laugh from Yana: “Bullshit!”
Their journey to the finale was anything but smooth. Yana initially entered the villa seeking a fresh start after a previous relationship, only to be confronted by the unexpected return of her ex, Kye. “THAT’S MY EX!” Yana famously exclaimed upon his arrival, admitting she was “shaking.”
Kye’s initial connection with ex-Islander Lacey caused Yana considerable distress, leaving her “feeling sick.” However, despite her reservations, Yana made the challenging decision to save Kye from being dumped, acknowledging, “Him being here isn’t something I would have ever pictured, but I think that it honestly happened for a reason.”
The couple faced further challenges, including the infamous Hotel Amor, which proved to be “the biggest challenge” in their relationship.
