Olympique de Lyon announced this Saturday the signing of Argentine international Nicolás Tagliafico, who arrives from Ajax in Amsterdam in exchange for 4.2 million euros. The player was one of the goals of FC Barcelona to reinforce the left side.

The footballer, who will turn 30 in August, has signed for three seasons with Lyon, which had been negotiating the operation for several weeks. Tagliafico arrived at Ajax in January 2018 and won three league titles, two cup titles with that club and reached the semifinals of the Champions League in 2019. He scored 16 goals in 169 games with the Dutch.
He has also played 40 games with the albiceleste, with which won the Copa America a year agoa, recalls Lyon in its statement. Tagliafico was in past seasons on the radar of some Spanish teams, although he finally continued at Ajax. He now goes to a Lyon that seeks, along with Marseille, to become an alternative to the power of Paris Saint-Germain.
