At around 11 a.m., several suspicious people in the area of the train station were reported to the federal police, said the spokesman. The station was then cleared and cordoned off and train traffic stopped. According to a current press release, three suspicious people were identified during the operation.
According to a federal police spokesman, these three people are currently at police stations. They are currently being subjected to police measures, the spokesman said at around 2:20 p.m. How exactly things will continue, for example whether the people will be taken into custody, would only become clear over the course of the day. A judge would then have to decide on this, the spokesman continued.
No further information about the people was provided. The spokesman also did not want to say what suspicions the police’s current measures are based on “for tactical reasons.” The state police have started investigations.
