Coventry• Death of a Malayali nurse has left the UK Malayalis in mourning. MS Arun, a nurse at UK Coventry University Hospital, was found dead at home. Coventry University Hospital authorities contacted the police when Arun, who was supposed to be on night duty on Wednesday, did not reach the hospital. Following this, Arun was found dead when the police arrived yesterday afternoon. When the body was found, he was listening to music with a headset on his ears.
Arun came to Coventry a year and a half ago. His wife Arya, who is a nurse, also recently got a job in the hospital where Arun works. Arun died while the visa process was in progress. Arun was a nurse in the ITU department at Coventry Hospital. He is a native of Udiankulangara, Thiruvananthapuram. The cremation will take place later in the country.
Coventry Kerala community activists and friends are making arrangements to coordinate the proceedings, including repatriation of the body.
