Azerbaijani judoka Rashid Mamedaliyev (73 kg) won a silver medal at the Grand Slam tournament in Antalya.
As reported by İdman.biz, he started with a victory over Marko Hristov (Bulgaria), and then defeated Bayram Kandemir (Turkey) and Shakram Akhadov (Uzbekistan). In the semi-finals he defeated Umalt Demirel, and in the final he lost to Adil Osmanov (Moldova). Osmanov’s award was the first for our team in Antalya.

Omar Rajabli (81 kg) lost to Joao Fernando (Portugal) in the first round.

The Grand Slam judo tournament continues in Antalya.
According to İdman.biz, three Azerbaijani athletes will compete on the second day of the competition.
In the up to 73 kg category, Rashid Mamedaliev will meet with Marko Hristov (Bulgaria), and Vusal Galandarzade will face Keisei Nakano (Philippines).
In the weight category up to 81 kg, Omar Rajabli will compete on the tatami. Joao Fernando (Portugal) is waiting for him.
