According to reports, a man from Andhra Pradesh’s Kakinada district died of a heart attack while watching a James Cameron film with his younger brother.
According to an India Today report, the deceased has been identified as Lakshmireddy Srinu. He came to a movie theater in Peddapuram to watch Avatar 2. He suffered a heart attack while watching the film. Anujan, who was with him, immediately rushed him to Peddapuram Government Hospital. Doctors declared him dead on arrival. Lakshmireddy has a daughter and a son.
This is not the first news about an audience member suffering cardiac arrest while watching Avatar. A 42-year-old man in Taiwan died of a heart attack while watching the first episode, which was released in 2009, according to an AP report.
At the same time, it is reported that Avatar the Way of Water had a blockbuster opening in India on its first day. The film earned 40 crores from the Indian box office in various languages.
