Mangosteen harvest Rs. Bid for 2.5 lakhs Dinamalar

Kunnar: In Mettupalayam Kallar Farm, an auction was held for Rs 2.50 lakh to harvest and sell mangosteen fruits. There are 203 mangosteen fruit trees in Mettupalayam Kallar Farm. As the season has started, a private auction was held in the presence of Assistant Director of Horticulture Sybila Mary (P), at Kunnar Simspunga office to sell the fruits; 10 people participated. Subbaiyan bid for 2.50 lakh rupees to pick mangosteen fruits from 130 trees for 2 months in Kallar areas. Last time, it was fetched for 3.60 lakh rupees, this year it was auctioned for a lesser amount. Similarly, the auction of durian and mangosteen grown in Parliar will be held within 10 days.
