EThe release date of Mani Ratnam’s cosmic film ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ based on the world famous historical novel by Tihasa writer Kalki has been announced. Madras Talkies and Laika Productions. Producing a two-part film. It has been officially announced that the first part of ‘Ponniyin Selvan-1’ will be released on September 30, 2022.

The film has a large cast. Vikram, Jayamravi, Karthi, Rahman, Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Lal, Vikram Prabhu, Parthipan, Babu Antony, Ashwin Kakumanu, Riyaz Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Shobhita Dulipala, Jayachitra are in the cast.

Vikram’s character is called Aditya Karikalan. Amitabh Bachchan was originally slated to play the role of Sundara Chozhar played by Prakash Raj. Kundhavi is the name of the character that Trisha plays. Kundhavi is a Chola princess. AR Rahman is the music director.

Cinematography by Ravi Varman. The art direction is by Thotta Dharani and Wasim Khan. Shreekar Prasad is the editor, Shyam Kaushal is the action choreographer, Brinda is the choreographer and Eka Lakhani is the costume designer.
