The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, will be able to accept a new regional government as long as it is led by a person from the PSD who has not held executive functions in recent years. According to the SIC NewsMiguel Albuquerque has already resigned as government leader.
As far as Expresso knows, the possibility on the table implies the dismissal of Miguel Albuquerque and, with the consent of the PAN, a new government led by a person from the PSD who is not part of the current executive. And this is because most of the decisions that are under investigation were taken in a government council. In other words, ultimately, all regional secretaries will be involved in some way.
