Finn Schjøll, Knut U. Bakke

In November, Finn Schjøll, also known as Blomster-Finn, took part in the recording of the entertainment program “Sofa”. He and his husband Knut Bakke were sitting at home in the living room, when Knut suddenly said:

– Knut says to me: “Now I’m falling”, and I say: “No Knut, now we’re on TV”. I didn’t quite understand what Knut said in a way, but in the next second I understood the seriousness, Finn Schjøll tells Tønsbergs Blad.

Schjøll told the local newspaper that the TV team, which consisted of two young ladies, reacted lightning fast.

– I tell them that they must call 113, and we get instructions over the phones right away. Knut is gone. He has suffered a cardiac arrest and is actually dead. I didn’t have time to reflect on it, but it was just to act. The TV ladies were very good, and one of them started cardiac compressions at the same time as we had 113 on the line, explains Schjøll to Tønsbergs Blad.

Nettavisen has been in contact with Finn Schjøll, who does not wish to comment on the matter.

The women are described as “real heroes who deserve a medal”. The couple want to tell their story to praise the health personnel who helped Bakke – because the story ends well.

– Several ambulances and ambulances arrived, and everything happens close to zero point zero, that is. I never dreamed that it would be so effective, says Schjøll about the call to the apartment.

Bakke has now had a defibrillator and pacemaker operated on, and is incredibly grateful for all the help he gets. What happens with the “Sofa” recording remains to be seen, the couple adds Tønsbergs Blad.
