Many viewers did not expect Maria Clara Groppler’s “Let’s Dance” exit on Friday. Now the comedian finds critical words for the RTL show.

The “Let’s Dance” edition on Friday, March 1st ended with a surprise: comedian Maria Clara Groppler was thrown out – neither the 25-year-old nor the audience had expected that. Numerous viewers expressed their incomprehension on social media: In their opinion, the comedian delivered a significantly better performance than “The Lions’ Den” investor Tillmann Schulz.

In the subsequent RTL interview, Maria Clara Groppler openly admitted that she would have liked to continue taking part in the dance competition. Even hours later, the candidate is disappointed. She vents her anger on Instagram – and blames “Let’s Dance” for her expulsion.

“It’s a shame that it was portrayed like that”

In her Instagram story, Maria Clara Groppler explains that she is very satisfied with her performance on the floor. She worked hard on herself together with her dance partner Mikael Tatarkin, even beyond the training times. That’s why the compilation that the audience saw immediately before her performance also caused her displeasure: “The clip only showed moments in which I was being silly (…), but I had been preparing for weeks. It’s a shame that it was portrayed like that,” said Groppler.

The Berlin native has the feeling that the scenes shown have given the TV audience the wrong image – and she’s not entirely wrong. On the official Instagram channel of “Let’s Dance” there are comments like “She didn’t take it seriously, was like a little child at times”, “Everyone gets what they deserve. She probably didn’t take it seriously enough” and ” But you could already see in training that she doesn’t take it seriously. Without discipline, it won’t work.”

Maria Clara Groppler is not only annoyed about her own departure, but also about the early exit of professional dancer Mikael Tatarkin. “I’m also very sorry for him that it’s over now,” she explains. For the 27-year-old, it was the first “Let’s Dance” season. He also met his dance partner’s exit with incomprehension. “Maria is probably the most talented partner who has ever been kicked out in the first round,” said the professional dancer in an RTL interview.
