# Beloved Father and Community Figure, Martin, Passes away in County Sligo

A pillar of the Stonepark, Knockbrack, and Aclare community in County Sligo, Ireland, Martin passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, surrounded by his family.His death marks a significant loss for those who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of devotion and cherished memories.

Martin was predeceased by his wife, Alice, his infant son, Gerard, and his brother, Fr. Vincent. He is survived by his children: Vincent (Mary) of New York, Francis (Gaye) of Kilmactigue, Mary Reynolds (Gerry) of Lucan, Liam (Kate) of Tullamoy, Anna Maria O’Hara (Brendan) of New York, Martina McLoughlin (P.J.) of Kilkelly, Fr. Gabriel of Keash Parish, Patrick of Stonepark, and noreen McLoughlin (Brendan) of Charlestown.

A Family Man Remembered

The impact of Martin’s life extends far beyond his immediate family. He was a deeply loved grandfather to Ciarán, Cathal, Aoife, Diarmuid, Eoghain, Ciara, Aishling, Roisín, Micheal, Brendan, Brian, Anna, Teresa, Martina, Kyle, Nicole, and Mikayla. His presence will be profoundly missed by his sister, elizabeth Noonan of New York, brother-in-law michael Sheridan (Noreen) of newport, sister-in-law Nora Moran of Chicago, as well as a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbors, and friends.

what Where the Funeral Arrangements?

The family received visitors at Martin’s home (F91 CY60) on Monday, November 15th, from 12 noon until 8 pm, and on Tuesday, november 16th, from 12 am until 5 pm. The house was made private after 5 o’clock on Tuesday. The funeral procession arrived at The Church of The Holy rosary in Kilmactigue at 8 o’clock on Tuesday evening.

A Requiem Mass was held on Wednesday, November 17th, at 12 noon, followed by burial at Kilmactigue Cemetery. The Mass was also livestreamed on https://mcn.live/camera/the-church-of-the-most-holy-rosary, allowing those unable to attend in person to participate.
