‘The Masked Singer’ Season 14 to Reveal Identities Early with New “America’s Insider” Role

The popular singing competition, The Masked Singer, is poised for a dramatic shift in format for its fourteenth season, offering viewers unprecedented access to the show’s secrets. Premiering January 7, 2026, the upcoming season will introduce “America’s Insider,” a role held by actress and singer Kylie Cantrall, who will reveal contestant identities before they are unmasked on the show.

Cantrall, known for her work in Disney’s Descendants franchise, announced her involvement on Instagram, stating, “For the FIRST TIME in #themaskedsinger history, you’re the first to know WHO is behind a mask! 😱 🤫 I’m #TMSInsider and Season 14 is about to be unlike any other.” According to reports, this groundbreaking move means audiences will be aware of Cantrall’s participation well in advance of the judging panel’s knowledge.

The Descendants star expressed her enthusiasm for the role, telling an outlet that simply singing and working alongside Rita Ora would have been fulfilling. However, the opportunity to be “America’s Insider” was too good to pass up. Cantrall and Ora have a pre-existing professional relationship, having previously collaborated on DISNEY’S DESCENDANTS: THE RISE OF RED and are slated to appear together in the upcoming DESCENDANTS: WICKED WONDERLAND in 2026. Cantrall described working with Ora as “surreal,” praising her as a “pop-star boss woman” who brought that energy to her role as the Queen of Hearts.

Beyond the new insider role, Season 14 promises to elevate the show’s signature themed episodes. A statement from Fox revealed that upcoming episodes will center around iconic pop culture moments, including themes dedicated to Star Trek, Clueless, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Twilight Saga, and the legendary girl group, The Spice Girls.

Adding an element of unexpected challenge, the competition will also feature “Fear Night,” with special guest Johnny Knoxville – known for his work on Fear Factor: House of Fear – delivering clues and “a few creepy crawlies” in true Masked Singer fashion. The season is being billed as the “biggest, bolder, and more unpredictable” yet, boasting 18 new costumes and “the most decorated contestants in the show’s history.” Organizers anticipate an “unprecedented unmasking” that will significantly impact the competition.

Returning to guide audiences through the mystery are host Nick Cannon and the judging panel, comprised of Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Rita Ora.

The anticipation is building for a season that promises to redefine the guessing game and deliver a fresh, exciting experience for The Masked Singer faithful.
