Matthew Perry’s ex-girlfriend, Kayti Edwards, recently made shocking claims about the late actor in an interview with The Sun, revealing that she once found him in a distressing state. Edwards claimed that she found Perry at his Hollywood Hills home with his hands superglued to his legs to prevent himself from consuming drugs.

According to Edwards, Perry had been getting high on various drugs, including crack cocaine, on the night she found him in this state. She recounted the distressing incident, stating that she had to use nail polish remover and olive oil to free him, resulting in red, raw patches on his legs.

This isn’t the first time Edwards has made this claim, as she previously shared a similar recollection with In Touch Weekly in 2018. She also revealed that even during times when Perry was clean and going through rehab, he still spoke about taking drugs and was always thinking about consuming them.

Tragically, Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home on Oct. 28. An autopsy revealed that he died from acute effects of ketamine, with drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects listed as contributing factors. Perry had been receiving ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety, with the last treatment taking place a week and a half before his death.

Edwards expressed skepticism about the circumstances of Perry’s death, stating that the facts did not add up and speculating that he may have taken pills in the week leading up to it. She also claimed that Perry’s use of the moniker “Mattman” in his final Instagram post was a major clue that he was using drugs again.

The tragic story of Matthew Perry’s battle with addiction and his untimely death has led to renewed discussions about mental health and the challenges of overcoming substance abuse.
