jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to repair relations and build a good relationship with the Blues fans who have booed him several times.
Pochettino was the target of fans’ ridicule when Chelsea drew 2-2 against Brentford last month.
He was booed by fans again in the match against Leicester in the FA Cup, even though Chelsea won the match 4-2.
A group of Chelsea fans even called for “Sack Pochettino” and then mentioned the name of former Blues manager Jose Mourinho.
However, Pochettino did not take the ridicule too seriously, but instead tried to build good relations by delivering an impressive victory. One of them was when Chelsea beat Manchester United 4-3 on Thursday (4/4).
“I came with a reputation for a project to build a team filled with young and talented players,” said Pochettino as reported by AFP, Saturday.
“We know it is a big challenge to build a team, win games and be competitive, taking risks with the fans,” said the former Tottenham and PSG coach.
“I said from the start, I want to build a sincere relationship. Not exaggerating or doing stupid things on the sidelines to attract fans’ attention,” he said.
