Thanjavur: When the mayor took a group photo with Udayanidhi in his room in Thanjavur, many senior executives were boiled over as the late Chief Minister Karunanidhi was not in the picture.

Mayor Ramanathan welcomed Udayanithi Stalin who arrived at the Thanjavur Corporation office yesterday. Udayanithi then flagged off a newly equipped roadside excavator-equipped vehicle worth Rs 66 lakh at the corporation office.

Later, the mayor took Udayanidhi to his room. There he provided welfare program assistance to cleaning staff. At that time, Udayanithi and others took a group photo with the mayor.

This photo only had a picture of Chief Minister Stalin and Udayanidhi above the mayor’s seat. The Karunanidhi picture was of the invisible model who wore a small garland in a corner. Thus many of the senior executives who came to the mayor’s office were dissatisfied.

Many lamented that the mayor had seen Karunanidhi’s picture above his desk in order to put ice on him, that Udayanidhi was next in line for everything in the party.

In contrast to the mayor at the time, Deputy Mayor Anjugam was awkward to put a picture of Karunanidhi, E.V.R., Annathurai, Stalin on his desk.
