McDonald’s is bringing back a blast from the past with the return of the McNugget Buddies for the first time in 25 years. The fast food giant is teaming up with artist DJ Kerwin Frost to release an all-new adult Happy Meal that is sure to spark nostalgic joy in fans.
The Kerwin Frost Box includes the choice of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac, fries, a soft drink, and a special McNugget Buddy collectible. The collectible comes in six different toy options, each inspired by Frost’s childhood in Harlem and featuring mix-and-match outfits.
Tariq Hassan, McDonald’s USA Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, expressed the company’s excitement about bringing back the nostalgic experience of opening a Happy Meal box. “Fans told us they wanted to celebrate that quintessential childhood experience again. So, we’re excited to team up with Kerwin on this next take, as he brings his own childhood McDonald’s memories to life through reimagined McDonald’s characters, immersing our fans in the world of Frost Way.”
The adult Happy Meal, featuring the McNugget Buddies and the Kerwin Frost Box, will be available for ordering starting on Monday, Dec. 11. Fans of all ages are sure to be thrilled to relive the joy of their childhood while enjoying their favorite McDonald’s menu items and collecting the special McNugget Buddy toys.
