Officials of the Special Branch (SB) concerned with the release of ‘Secret documents of the Intelligence Branch regarding Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ have met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. They met at Ganabhaban on Saturday (March 9).
Prime Minister’s Assistant Press Secretary ABM Sarwar-e-Alam Sarkar said that the Prime Minister arranged to meet them to recognize their tireless work and talent in this publication.
22 members of the Special Branch were involved in preparing this report. 20 members were present during the meeting with the Prime Minister.
Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mahbub Hossain led the delegation. Coordinator and Curator of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum. Md. Nazrul Islam Khan was present at this time.
Incidentally, the secret document is a collection of intelligence reports about the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangladesh during the Pakistan era. The process of publishing these books started more than 10 years ago and will end in 2024. All volumes of this publication are published by Haqqani Publishers.
