U11 Federal Formative League Heats up: Regional Playoff Schedule Revealed

the race to crown the inaugural champion of the Federal formative U11 Male basketball league is entering a critical phase, with the regional playoff schedule now set.Beginning this Friday, August 29, teams will battle for the final spots in the interregional home runs, marking a pivotal moment in this burgeoning competition.

The league, in its first year of existence, is witnessing “vital definitions” as teams vie for advancement, according to sources close to the competition. All matches will be live-streamed and available free of charge via Basketball Pass, offering fans extensive coverage of the action.

Regional Playoff Schedule & Key Dates

The competition is structured across several phases:

  • Phase 1 – Regional: August 2 & 3
  • Phase 2 – Regional: August 16 & 17
  • Phase 3 – Regional Repechage: August 30 & 31
  • Phase 4 – Interregional Home Runs: September 13 & 14

Seven additional spots remain, and competition will be fierce across the following regional groups:

  • Coastal Region: Almagro de Esperanza, Unión de Sunchales, San Lorenzo de Tostado, and progreso de Santa Elena.
  • Central Region: Youth Unida de Almafuerte, Casino de Río Tercero, hindu of Córdoba, and Ameghino de Villa María.
  • NEA Region: San Martín de Corrientes, Italian Association of Charata, Villa San Martín de Resistencia, and Resistance Regattas.
  • South Region: CAI of Comodoro Rivadavia, of the progress of General Roca, and Club five jumps.
  • Metropolitan Region: Unión Florida, Neighborhood Union of Munro, Pedro Echagüe, and Ferro Carril West.

The winners of the Coastal, Central, and NEA groups will automatically advance. The South and Metropolitan regions will each send their top two teams. Fans can follow all results, standings, and statistics through the CAB app for mobile devices.

Interregional Home Run Format

The 16 qualifying teams will be divided into four home runs, with locations to be steadfast through a tender process. The initial groupings are as follows:

  • Home Run A: Current Regattas, 2 teams from NEA, Zaninetti of Concepción del Uruguay, and 2 teams from Litoral.
  • home Run B: Gepu de San Luis, Spanish Society of San Luis, Justiniano Posse, and 2 teams from the Center region.
  • Home Run C: Bahiense del Norte,Ferro de San Antonio Oeste,3 and 4 from the Metropolitan region.
  • Home Run D: February three and Monte Grande, 3 and 4 from the Southern region.

The top two teams from each home run will advance to the semifinal stage.

semifinal & Final Stages

The eight teams progressing from the interregional home runs will compete in two semifinal home runs (September 27-28), also with locations determined by tender.The winners of these home runs will then face off in the Final Four (October 11-12) at a single, yet-to-be-determined location.

The final four will be seeded based on their overall tournament record, with tiebreakers resolved using the FIBA method if necessary. The semifinal matchups will be structured as follows: 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd, culminating in a championship game to determine the inaugural Federal Formative League U11 champion.
