The person responsible for receiving this distinction was Nel Gonzalez Zapicopresident of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, from the hands of José Luis Martínez Donosogeneral manager of ONCE Foundation and vice-president of the Bequal Foundation. The presentation of the seal took place at the end of the commemorative event organized by SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, on the occasion of World Mental Health Day 2024, held on 7 October, at the HUB Por Talento Digital of the ONCE Foundation. It should be noted that this is a result resulting from the recertification carried out by Bureau Veritasevaluating key aspects of its management, from human resources and accessibility to social action and responsible purchasing. The recognition strengthens the mission of the SPANISH MENTAL HEALTH Confederation to defend the rights of people with mental health problems, to improve their quality of life. The President of the Confederation added that “at SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA we have been working for people with disabilities for more than 40 years. psychosocial disabilities and their families. To defend their rights and encourage people with disabilities due to a mental health problem to develop an increasingly independent and empowered life. The Bequal certificate
The Bequal certificate is an evaluation formula by a third party, which determines the degree of commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and Disability, in essential areas such as strategy and leadership, the commitment of senior management towards people with disabilities, human resources management, compliance with inclusive and equal opportunities regulations and policies in all selection procedures, access to work, promotion and professional training. Furthermore, organizations that achieve the Bequal Certificate demonstrate their commitment and contribution to achieving the SDGs, in particular SDG 8 on decent work and SDG 10 on reducing inequalities, among others.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”129572″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]The Bequal Foundation, the body that manages the granting of the certification of the same name, is the result of the work carried out since 2011 in the conception of a systematized model of certifiable indicators that brings together all the heritage and experience of its founding bodies: THE Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI), the ONCE Foundation, SEE and the Seeliger and Conde Foundation.
Since 2018, the SPAIN MENTAL HEALTH Confederation has been developing, with funding from the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda – Personal Income Tax Notice 0.7 2023/2024, a program to promote and improve quality in global management of care institutions for people with mental health problems. González Zapico is grateful that SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA has obtained the renewal of the Bequal PLUS seal.
After receiving the distinction, González Zapico thanked the Bequal Foundation for the recognition, as well as the ONCE Foundation and the CERMI, as organizations “promoting Bequal, believing that the Confederation deserves to renew this seal for another year; and recognize the our efforts to implement projects and measures for equal opportunities and non-discrimination of people with disabilities, in all our management areas, the President of the Confederation added that «in SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA we work for and for people with psychosocial disabilities and. their families for more than 40 years. “Defending their rights and helping people with disabilities due to a mental health problem to develop an increasingly independent and responsible life.”
